Despite its compact form, a horizontal folding bed needs space. Below are the dimensions relevant to correct operation.
Note! A horizontal folding bed should always be securely fastened (with dowels and screws) to the wall for proper operation. It is advisable to first examine what type of wall the bed should be attached to. A drywall wall is not suitable because too many tensile forces occur during the folding and unfolding of the bed.

Mechanism
A folding bed normally uses axle hinges combined with gas compression springs to make the forces during folding and unfolding as light as possible.
We use industrial gas pressure springs. These are custom-made especially for the type of bed.
Gas pressure springs
All our beds come with two gas pressure springs on each side of the bed. These gas pressure springs optimally balance the bed so that almost no force is required to fold the bed in or out. Very simple in other words.
We offer a two-year warranty on our gas pressure springs.
Choose the desired color (matte or gloss finish)
The front plate of our bed is available in different colors. With the right color, our bed fits into any interior.
A folding bed consists of a closet frame combined with a bed frame. Using two hinge points, the bed can be folded down or up. To reduce the weight and ultimately the force required by the user, the pivot points are equipped with a gas pressure spring. Because of this principle, a folding bed is very easy to use. Once folded, the bed looks like a normal closet.
- A folded horizontal folding bed is space-saving, think here about 4-6 m2 gain in a room. These square meters can be used nicely for other uses.
- A closet bed looks tidy and radiates calmness in the room.
- A folding double bed offers more comfort compared to standard guest beds. Think better bed bases and mattresses up to 28 cm! It is therefore ideal for guests who come to stay for more than a few days or when the bed is used daily.
